A Girl's Gotta Spa!

To write reviews on beauty products that I know my readers are looking to try and get an honest perspective on.

In October of 2005 I decided to start a beauty blog. I had no idea that it would go from a hobby to the start of my career.

I love to blog about beauty products–hair care, skin care, bath & body, anti-aging, spa treatments and products.

Be consistent–post at least 4 times a week.
Offer something of value.
Build community.
Network.
Be persistent–it takes 6-9 months for a blog to really take off.

Yes, absolutely. Some will even email me on occasion.

Yes because they know I would harass them otherwise.

I mostly blog at night and on the weekend right from the comfort of my home office in the Pocono Mountains.

I’m also the Chief Blogger for a PR firm and I blog for b5media (Makeup Minute), so I spend more time than most blogging. I’d say about 25 hours or more a week.

I’m already tapped into a network of blogs through The Beauty Blog Network, Splendicity, Total Beauty and Glam. So I search those sites and blogrolls.

Through a WAHM forum I heard about affiliate marketing, as I went through from site to site I discovered blogs and it took me onto a whole other course.

It absolutely has changed my life. I was recruited for a full time job that I love, I’ve met incredible people, I’ve gotten access to beauty and fashion events that I never thought possible and I’ve learned that I am passionate about writing.
