The Extraordinary Ordinary

Because I have an addictive personality and it’s awfully addicting. Oh. And I love to write.
In all seriousness I blog because I imagine my boys reading it one day and loving every moment they witness through it of their very own lives.
And so I can read it all later and re-live it. Since I’m quite forgetful.

um…I want to say a year and a half. Like I said, I’m forgetful so I could be WAY off on that. But I know it’s not five years. Or one. So I’ll say one and a half.

My kids. Me. me. me. me. My kids. My husband. And me.
Actually it’s really quite random. I blog about whatever comes to mind, which believe me, could be anything.

mattlogelin.com, navel gazing at it’s finest by sue, temporary?insanity by kimberly, hadleyesque by heidi, the lawsons did dallas by jill, all things prodigal jon, ms.adventures, bring the rain…
oh so many. I’m an addict, like I said.

Be genuine. Be who you are. Don’t censor yourself. If your gut says “write it,” write it. People will stumble across your blog and appreciate you for exactly who you are. It’s cool like that.

LOVE. love. love it. The people who comment make me laugh. I have funny friends/readers. Really funny.

yes.

Nap-time and night-time. And sometimes during Curious George on PBS while the kiddos are totally enraptured with monkey antics. I sneak away and then later I feel guilty. So mostly at nap-time.

per day? um, probably one to two hours (sometimes more if people are posting like crazy and I can’t stop I just can’t stop…)

My friend Cassie said I could keep up with her when she moved to Japan by looking at her blog. I had no idea what she was talking about so I set aside my pride and said, “what da heck’s a blog?” Okay, actually I waited until later and asked my husband…

Cassie’s! Then recently it was my friend Kelly’s “orange you glad I didn’t say jell-o” and friend Sabrina’s “superfluous.”

My children. My husband. My family. My friends. Nature. Books. Movies. Blogs.

yup, http://iflifeisahighway.blogspot.com

I love to witness the evolution of me over time, chronicled right there in the archives. I may actually be growing up (a little) after all.
It brings me joy to write, therefore I blog.
Reading other people’s blogs teaches me something new on a daily basis.
And isn’t laughter inspirational? My blog roll has some truly witty and remarkable people on it. They keep me chuckling quietly to myself daily. LOVE IT.
