By His Grace

I have always loved to write. Growing up it was an easy way for me to express myself. I believe that God has gifted me with this ability and a few years ago specifically called me to share my life with others through my writings. Blogging has been my outlet through which to share in this season of my life until the Lord calls me to do it another way. It is only by His grace that I am what I am today.

I started blogging in November 2007.

I normally write about what God is dealing with me on at the time. My kiddos also provide some great topics to share with others.

I have many favorite blogs. I’d be afraid to name some in fear of leaving others out.

I’m still a newbie myself. One thing I would say though to those seasoned in the blogsphere and for the newcomers, DO NOT LET IT CONSUME YOUR LIFE and DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET CAUGHT UP IN THE STATS.

I absolutely love to visit with other bloggers through comments left on my blog and by leaving comments on others blogs. In fact, I have now started emailing with a few of the great ladies I’ve had the joy of meeting.

Because we live away from our families, this blog has been a neat way for us to stay somewhat connected with each other.

I try to blog early in the mornings before my kiddos get up or late at night when they are in bed. I’m usually sitting at my kitchen table enjoying a nice cup of coffee while posting and reading other blogs.

There are several blogs that I try to read everyday. When I first started blogging I posted everyday, but it began consuming my time. So, now I either write up all my posts on Sunday and have them ready to go for the week or just try to post a few times during the week. I do post each Friday though, because on Friday’s I host “Psalm Friday.” During our times together on Friday’s we dig deep down into the Psalms and pull out golden nuggets of Truth.

A friend of mine began blogging and introduced me to the idea of it. Then I was asked to set up a blog for the ladies of our church to have somewhere to visit to get encouragement from the Word.

The first blog I ever read was Growing in Godliness.

The Lord inspires me to do all that I do. Because He has rescued me from a deep pit of sin, I can’t help but shout His praises.

No.

Blogging has been a way for me to fulfill God’s calling on my life in this current season. God has taught me so much about myself and about Himself. He has opened doors and windows and lead me down paths I never dreamt possible. The Lord has also closed doors and called me to follow Him without question. I have been so blessed to meet ladies all over the world who offer encouragement to me on those days that I’m ready to pull my hair out. I’ve been challenged, pushed beyond my comfort zone, and truly humbled by all that I’ve seen the Lord do over the past several months. It is both a joy and an honor to walk with my new Christian friends through this life as we journey closer to our forever home.
