Blogging is a creative outlet for me. I’ve been a journalist for nearly two decades but left the workforce in 2004 after the birth of my third child. While I have done some freelance writing and editing, I’ve found that blogging connects me with readers in a way that traditional publishing outlets has not. There’s immediate feedback, which lets me build relationships with the blogging community at large.

I find a great deal of inspiration in my family, especially my kids. They are so enthusiastic about trying new things and “playing art.” It’s kind of contagious!
