Call Her Blessed

Blogging is a great way for me to chronicle my family’s daily life, keep in touch with long distance family, share my passion for photography, and share my faith in the Lord.

But mostly? It’s my escape…my way to connect with other folks out there…my way to use this shriveling mommy brain of mine!

Whatever strikes me at the moment. Most typically, it’s my family life. I also write frequently about my walk with Christ. Sometimes I don’t write much of anything, and just post some photography.

My main piece of advice would be to find your own blogging voice. I think it’s too easy to start reading a lot of “successful” or “popular” blogs, and then try to mimick their voice in your writing. There’s no one else out there with your life and your personality…let the real you come through.

Oh yeah…and don’t live by your stat counter!

I adore comments! Some days I feel like I live for them! I’ve made some really neat connections with people through comments…people I like to think of as friends now.

Pretty much everyone I know. My husband jokes that if he wants to have a conversation with me, he should leave me a comment to get my attention!

I also have lots and lots of long distance family who I know are regular readers. Keeps me on my toes! :)

I’d say a couple of hours a day…in between running errands, keeping house, caring for my children, and spending time with family and friends…it probably adds up to a couple of hours per day.

No. I typically check out other bloggers’ blog rolls, and go from there.

A friend of mine started blogging, and I thought she was insane! But then I started reading hers and others’ blogs, and I was hooked. I had to jump in too!

Our amazing God…the abundant blessings He’s poured out on my life, this gorgeous planet he created for us, and for just being HIM. The more I get to know Him, the more in awe I am.

I have a photography website. Nothing fancy, just some of my favorite shots.
