The Rousing of Real Beauty

I’m inspired every week by something I’ve worked on with a client, tried as a product, or seen about town. I blog as a way to give free Style Advice in quick snippets to those who want to find their personal style and up their style quotient.

2006. Pretty much since I got my business going and realized it was viable. Clients responded immediately to my realistic, straight-forward and fun approach.

Seasonal style, great (or not great) products I’ve read about and tried, style articles or trends that beg for a comment or two from an image expert who works with moms everyday who may have lost their way and are looking to edit their look and find style to fit their lifestyle.

Keep the entries short! Everyone is so busy, it’s nice when you can provide carefully edited tid bits so people have time to read your blog.

Absolutely. And I always answer the questions that get posted in the comments as well.

For sure! Without them I wouldn’t have the support and constant input I need to keep this moving.

I blog when I’m inspired with a goal of at least one entry per week. But I do need to find something or see something that sparks my interest. I can be found on my PowerBook in all kinds of places blogging away when the time is right.

Writing=1 hour/week
Reading=1+ hours/week

Yep, Technorati. I also Google things I’m interested in and the blogs always show up.

A friend. I thought it sounded interesting. Now, it’s a must.

I can’t remember the name, but it was about Handbags.

My kids, it’s cliche but true. Watching my toddler-aged twins (b/g) explore, learn, try, succeed, fail, love–it warms my soul in a way few things in life can.

Also, flowers and other botanical things. Seeing someone who walks with confidence but is clearly warm and open-minded always interests me too.

I’m learning to write better, more like a journalist would approach a topic. That’s been fun. Now I’m thinking of taking a writing course so I can push myself.

I read other style blogs and am definitely challenged by them. I learn what I like and don’t like. They push me to consider what my business can be and what my path may be.
