Beautiful Craziness

I began blogging to find an outlet for my creativity. I love being a stay at home mom, but for a while there I was feeling a little lost. I began reading some blogs and I realized, “You know what? I can do this.” And once I got started I realized that blogging was not only fun, but it was a way to minister to others maybe dealing with the same craziness I deal with in my life.

I have been blogging for a few weeks now and have loved every minute. I am attached to my computer, to say the least.

I blog about my home life, my little one, things I love and things that make me crazy. I also blog about my relationship with Christ and how my walk changes and grows and even falters sometimes. I want to be an encouragement to others and in all my writings that is my goal, whether I am talking about fashion, children or Jesus.

I enjoy so many, but some of my favorites are Vintage Dutch Girl. She is so much fun and very real. I also enjoy We are THAT family and This ain’t New York. Both of these women are hilarious and an inspiration.

My advice to new bloggers…read other blogs. If you want traffic, read and comment as much as you can!

I LOVE comments. I love checking to read them constantly and I love commenting on other blogs! They have become such a life line! Keep commenting!!

I have a wonderful, very large extended family, including so many friends who read consistently. I love hearing back from them and knowing that they enjoy my bolg.

I usually blog at night after my son goes to bed and sometimes I will read blogs or write my posts during his nap. I am always thinking of what I am going to write about. My husband says he has to be very careful of what he says or does now because more than likely, I will write about it!

I spend too much time reading and writing blogs. I think about it constantly and my son will stand at the door to our office and have this exasperated look on his face as if to say, “You’re in here again!”

My sister in law introduced me to her sister’s blog and I began reading hers everyday and thought…”Maybe I should do this?” And with that one thought everything sort of came about.

We are THAT Family

My husband inspires me. My son inspires me. My God inspired me.

As I said before, blogging has really impacted my life because it has given me a sense of purpose and fulfillment. I love my life, my kid is the best and my husband is so wonderful, but when I first began blogging I was going through some hard stuff personally; Almost depressed, feeling inadequate as a mom and sometimes lonely. As moms, we have so much on our plates and we tend to the feelings of everyone else we love and when everyone is taken care of we are too tired to take care of ourselves. Plus, God had been taking me through a renewing process, so I was in a hard spot all around and then I began reading some blogs and I just felt like this was an outlet. It thought, it could become a ministry, and I believe blogging has become my ministry, but at first it became my therapy. I knew I wasn’t alone or a bad mom and by writing and participating in something bigger than myself, I was taking care of me as well.
