Mel's World Travel Biz

To preach, teach, lead, learn, and grow. I love people and I feel passionately about encouraging people to be the best they can be!

The Mel’s World Travel Biz blog is there to be a resource to those moms who want to stay at home and make extra money to supplement their family.

I try to share my heart about staying home, about running a business, while educating others about the tax benefits, the opportunities out there, and also about what I am doing so that I can stay home.

Travel More, Spend Less, and Make Money at Home

Just over 2 years and I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

The ins and outs of owning your own business, the benefits of a home based business, being a Work at Home Mom, and about network (internet) marketing.

I have another blog called Mel’s World with Melissa Mashburn that I write devotionals, share my testimony, and use as a source to encourage others with.

Mel’s World Travel Biz was a natural spin off from Mel’s World because the Travel Biz is what I do that allows me the opportunity to be a Work at Home Mom!

There are so many that I read for various reasons, but some of my long time fav’s are, Sue @ Praise and Coffee, Hope @ Monkey Giggles, Mama Geek, Kat @ JustABeachKat, and SO many others!

I have them listed on my personal ministry blog (Mel’s World) as “Cool Chicks”.

Keep at it, blog consistantly, and respond to your readers comments…it takes time, but if you really want to network and meet other people then it is SO worth it.

I have met some truly amazing people in the bloggy world and now I consider them to be life long friends!

YES!!! I love it! I try and keep them all in my inbox until I can send a personal note back to them, if they have an email address I send a note back that way, if not I respond to a post on their blog.

yes…and it is too weird to have someone you “know in the real world” come up to you and start talking about something that you put up on your blog. You always think that it is people “outside your circle” that are reading, but it is not…

yes, moms network, 5 minutes for mom, and I pop in on several others

Generally everyday either on my personal ministry blog, or here in Mel’s World Travel Biz…most of the time from my home office, but I have been known to take my laptop with me on vacation, on the beach, by the pool, at Starbuck’s, etc…so you never really know where I am blogging from.

Yikes…this is hard to admit…probably about 5-10 hours a week, maybe more…it is truly something that you can get “lost” in.

No, not really…I tend to visit everyone who visits my blog, and I also like to go and visit some of the people that visit my friends blogs.

Through a friend…I thought I would try it and instantly became hooked!

I can’t even remember, but I do know who was the VERY FIRST person to comment on my blog and she even gave me an award…it was Karen over at Karen’s Remblings (New Zealand) and it was just awesome!

My faith in God, my family, and the friends that I have been blessed with, I am truly one blessed chick!

Yep, I write a personal ministry blog called, Mel’s World with Melissa Mashburn, and a couple of business web sites, http://www.Money4Vacation and http://www.MashburnTravel.com.

Check out the Mashburn Travel web site and see if I can beat the prices for your summer travel.

It has allowed me to write and develop the craft and talent that I have always known was there but never had time to develop.

I have met so many amazing new friends, and some of them will be my friends forever. They are there through all the everday trials without physically being there…it is really quite amazing!
