Interview with Nicole from “Confessions of Eli’s Mom”
“Confessions of Eli’s Mom”

I started my blog when I found out I was pregnant with my son. In the beginning it was to keep my family and friends up-to-date on my pregnancy and, later, my son’s life. However, he was born with bilateral clubfeet, so another purpose of my blog has been to educate people about a non-surgery method of treatment for that condition.

Since I found out I was expecting: 18 months ago.

99% of my blogs are about Eli and what is happening in his life, but I’ve slipped a few ‘opinion’ blogs in there this summer.

I love The Longest Journey, Notes from the Trenches, and Random and Odd.

I love getting feedback on my blogs, and I really try to respond to each one (through email).

They do; they’re the reason I started the blog.

I usually blog when Eli goes down for the night, or in the morning, if I get up before he does.

Too much! I try to limit my computer time to Eli’s naps and/or nighttime. I’d say I spend an hour or two each day reading and/or writing blogs.

I’m not sure. I decided to start a website for Eli when we got pregnant, but I’d never heard the term ‘blog’. I just wrote short little stories and people read them. About the time I switched to blogger.com, I realized lots of other people were doing the same thing I was.

That’s easy: my son.
