Interview with Mandy from “Baby Alana – Life with a Preemie”
“Baby Alana – Life with a Preemie”

My blog started out as an opportunity to keep my family up to date on my daughter’s progress. Since she was born prematurely, my husband and I spent most of our time at the NICU for the first weeks of her life. My blog allowed my family to stay abreast of the situation. I decided to keep blogging once we got her home since everyone enjoyed the updates…and it has helped me to form a lasting memory for my daughter to see in the future.

About 6 months.

Mostly, I blog about my premature daughter, Allie, and how she is growing up.

Just be yourself! Oh, and proofread! Proofread! Proofread!

YES!

YES!

Nope, I don’t have time.

I blog from home…wearing my nice worn-in, spit-up covered PJ’s. I try to post an update every 3 days

Writing my blog takes me a couple of hours every week. Resizing the photos and finding the right way to tell a story is what takes most of my time.

Nope

My husband suggested it to me.

I get encouraged to do a better job of communicating a story by blogging. It’s taught me an awful lot about myself…and has brought me closer with family that lives far away. Long live blogs!
