Interview with Christine from “Serenity How?”
“Serenity How?”

I started blogging as a creative outlet and for fun. I’ve always enjoyed writing, and blogging provided me with a way to write about the crazy, funny things that happen in my family.

I’ve had this blog since January of 2008. I started one a couple of years ago, but it just wasn’t right. It was too serious and that really isn’t me. I ended up deleting it.

My kids, my family life, anything that strikes me as funny or interesting. Some of my most popular posts have been about some really unusual things.

Oh, there are just too many. I have a reader full and I add to it all the time. If you’ve commented on my blog, I’m probably reading yours.

I’m a bit of a newbie myself, but I honestly think that if you write about what you enjoy it will show and others will enjoy it, too.

YES!!! I feel kind of silly admitting how much I love comments. I also enjoy it when people ask questions or ask for more information on something I’ve written about. That two-way dialog is great, and it shows that there really are people out there reading my blog.

Some of my family does, yes. I’ve only got a few offline friends who I’ve told about it. I’m not sure why, but it doesn’t come up very often in normal conversation. I feel odd saying, “Oh, I have a blog. Do you want to read it?”

I’ve been a member of the Moms of Faith forum for over two years now. I love those ladies so much.

At home when my husband is at work and the kids are at school. I try very hard to keep from letting it get in the way of time with my family. It’s so easy to lose track of time online so I have to set those limitations.

I’ve mainly used BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog and cre8buzz. They are all great tools, but I also find I can spend more time using them than actually blogging or reading blogs. The amount of info out there can be overwhelming.

I think it was when some of my Moms of Faith friends started theirs.

My Christian faith, my family and friends. I’ve also been inspired by the wonderful blogging community out there. The love and support that’s come my way has been incredible, and I try to send it back as much as possible.

Not my own. I’ve recently been added as an author at Mommies Coffee Break, a blog written by moms for moms.

I’ve found how much I missed expressing myself through writing. The biggest challenge I face is keeping balance and not letting blogging interfere with my everyday responsibilities. Like any other hobby or enjoyable passtime it’s too easy to let it take over. I have a lot of respect for bloggers who say they need to take a break to take care of other things, or just for the sake of taking a break. It’s supposed to be fun, right?
