I blog because I’m bored to death at work and I need a creative outlet. I’m an advertising copywriter for a non-profit organization. I’m here, not for the creative environment (because there simply isn’t one), but for the flexible schedule. I can work from home when I need to and I can leave exactly on time. Plus, it’s stress-free. I would never have that luxury at an ad agency. So, for now, it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make to focus on my family. My blog is a little something just for me.

I only started blogging about three months ago, and now I’m ridiculously addicted to it. I’ve even tried to get my husband involved in a restaurant review blog I have. And, I started one to log all my daughter’s crazy stories about her stuffed dog, Barney.

In Figments, I blog about daily life…funny things that happen, or something that really annoys me…my century old house that needs updating yet there’s no time to do it or in-house skill to pull it off cheaply. It’s great therapy!

Absolutely! I live for comments.

Yes. And somedays, I think I may need to start a secret blog so I can blog about them without hurting feelings.

At work and at home after the kids have gone to bed.

Too much!

People inspire me…Creative people. Boutique owners. Photographers. Volunteers. I want to be all of them.

Well, other than spending way too much time on the computer, probably not. Although I do read more now than I have in a long, long time.
