That’s a good question! I started out because I wanted to document my efforts to make the most of our resources (money) and I like sharing what works for me with others. Since I’ve started, however, I find that it’s the greatest creative endeavor…kind of like self-publishing your own online magazine…and it’s such a kick to watch my traffic grow. I also enjoy the community of bloggers. And I’ve learned so much about HTML.

About three months.

Personal finance as it relates to our family finances. I try really hard to keep it on topic.

I’m mostly familiar with other personal finance blogs. Four of my favorites that are also written by moms are:Frugal UpstateLike Merchant ShipsMoney DummyandTired But Happy

Put Sitemeter or something similar on your blog. It is such fun to see how many people are reading it and where they come from. You will be amazed!

Absolutely. Every writer likes to know that someone is reading what they’ve written and comments are validation that I’ve connected with someone.

I’ve only told my sister, my husband, and my oldest, dearest friend about the blog. I know my husband reads it but I’m not sure how often the other two check in.

Not really. I used to really enjoy message boards but blogs have kind of replaced that for me.

I spend much more time reading than writing. I have no idea how much but I’m sure that it’s too much!

I use pfblogs.org some but other than that it’s usually through links on other blogs. I have no idea how I end up the places that I do!
