I started blogging, or journaling, on Babycenter.com late ’04 or early ’05. I posted about the domestic, contested and open adoption of my youngest son. Later I blogged for awhile at AdoptionBlogs.com. It was a continuation of posts about adoption that later morphed into special needs.

I write what I’m passionate about. Some days it’s all about my kids and other days it’s all about my not-so-secret desire to grow a gigantic crop of tomatoes in my backyard. Then other days it’s about autism, my weight loss journey or the politics of parenting. Occasionally there’s a silly tantrum video from YouTube throw in. Just depends on the day, the mood and what’s happening in my world.

Yes, I do like to chat with them through comments. Also, I like to gab with them on their blogs and follow them on twitter.

Yes they do.

The place I really got the gist of blogging was at the BlogHer ‘05 conference. I hadn’t heard of mommy bloggers, or the controversial nature of the name, until then.
I had already been ‘journaling’ at that point, but hadn’t realized the gigantic community aspect of it yet.

I also blog at CentralValleyMoms.com.
