Interview with Trish from “I Made This”

I started blogging to allow my family easy access to current photos of the children. You see, we live in England and I’m originally from The South (of the USA). Then I realised how therapeutic sharing Mom war stories can be. So I now blog to keep in touch and to stay sane.

I’ve only been blogging just over a year. I have periods where I blog almost daily, then I rest a while and start again with a vengeance.

It’s always personal. The children, mostly. But sometimes it’ll be about playground politics and very often about my insecurities as a Mom. There’s a good bit of knitting and crafting, too.

I like The Crafty Crow, Molly Chicken, Post Secret, You Knit WHAT? and many many more.

Be honest.

I do. I’ve recently discovered how to answer comments right on the post rather than emailing.

Yes. My Dad keeps up with us regularly as well as my friends from both sides of the pond.

I love Ravelry. And iVillage is quite good.

I blog at home whenever the mood hits me! Usually it’s when the children are either in bed asleep or otherwise preoccupied.

Not as much as I’d like. I’d love to write everyday. But I just don’t have it in me. I write sporadically. But I suppose with three small children it’s to be expected.

Not really. I’m lazy. I use Google.

I believe it was on the tv. Isn’t that insane? I never spent much time on the computer before that.

I can’t remember but I think it may have been Angry Chicken or Dooce.

Beauty, yet as this is completely objective, I suppose it’d be easier saying everything can inspire me. My children are a huge inspiration, but I hesitate to say that as it sounds so darned cliché!

Yes, I have a webring and website called I Made This, too. It’s all about creativity in every form. I’d seen several sites dedicated to a particular interest, but nothing for people who had several interests. So I started these sites for those of us who would like to share ideas.

Somehow I’ve become, not only more creative, but more confident. I’ve ‘met’ some lovely ladies online who offer great advice and friendship. There’s so much information and love! It’s great.
