We are THAT family

I started blogging as a frustrated writer. It was a defiant burst of rebellion, “Oh yeah? Well. Fine. I’ll just publish myself.” Of course, after a couple of posts the anger waned. I mainly blog to remind others they are not alone. I spent many of my first mom years, lonely. It can be better.

I usually blog about little snippets of my day or things my kids say. They are hilarious. I also blog about my guilty pleasures. And of course, my favorite thing to blog about is when I’m bad.

My favorite blog is Rocks in my Dryer. Shannon inspires me, daily. I also love a couple of other newer blogs Life in Jirkaville (http://www.thejirkafamily.blogspot.com/) and Domestic Accident (http://www.domesticaccident.blogspot.com/). I think these ladies are undiscovered gems.

It’s a big learning curve for non-technical people. Don’t give up AND comments are like a drug, a safe, happy narcotic.

I do. I really appreciate people taking the time to not only read my nonsense, but respond? Well. These are the best people, ever.

A few. After I blogged about my toddler’s lips being Super Glued together, most of my family and friends starting dropping off like flies. My readers, more dedicated than ever. They understand THAT family.

I love to write. I always write my posts the night before I post them. This is my favorite part of it all! Even more than the comments.

Too much. I’m learning balance.

I’ve spent hours trying to figure the blog search engines out. I’m baby steppin’.

Rocks in my Dryer.

My faith inspires me. My husband is incredible. He pushes me to be a better me. He’s my best friend and I want to make him proud. And my kiddos. They are a dream come true and I’m lucky to be their mom.

Blogging has become important to me. This surprised me. I finally found my voice. Even if know one reads it, my words were meant to be written and this feels VERY good. It’s right for me.
