Interview with Lynne from “The Sewing Mom”
“The Sewing Mom”

I enjoy blogging as a way to showcase my sewing projects and meet others who have similar interests. I have found many new sewing projects via other similar blogs. I also have really enjoyed virtual meetings of so many new blogger friends.

I began blogging in July, 2007.

On this particular site I mostly blog about sewing and crafts, as well as my daughter and family acitivities.

I have so many favorites. I spend my days visiting many other blogs. One of my favorites is Winding Threads .

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! There are so many wonderful, more experienced bloggers that are so willing to provide assistance, usually for free!

I love receiving comments and do my best to ALWAYS respond. I have email comment responder enabled, so people who do comment don’t have to return to see if I responded, they receive my response in their email.

My entire family reads my sewing blog.

I visit the PPP forum regularly. I am a bit intimidated by some forums, they are difficult to figure out.

I tend to blog throughout the day from home. I have a laptop that makes it easy to move from room to room.

Oh my, I don’t really want to put that in print. I don’t want to confirm my husband’s belief that I spend too much time on the computer!

I mainly use BlogCatalog, but also have been known to use BlogLog and Technorati. I also like to check out specific memes like Tackle it Tuesday and try to visit everyone who is participating. I’ve found some of my favorite blogs this way.

My sister has been blogging for a couple of years and finally convinced me to give it a try.

My sister’s first blog Clutzy’s Clutzes She has grown a lot as a blogger and now has several other blogs as well.

My family, particularly my daughter! She keeps me on my toes.

I have my second and newest blog, It’s My Imagination. With this blog, I talk about more general topics of everyday life, a few more technical issues and even politics (just a little).

I feel connected in some way to so many more people. I’ve learned that I have things in common with so many people.
