Interview with MacKenzie from “Mama Kenz Studio”

I blog because I think it is a wonderful way of sharing my experiences- lessons, trials and joys with other mamas who can learn from them and build from them. I am a very passionate person and, well, I like when people listen to me!

About 6 months

I blog about whatever is impacting my life at the time- that can be something very simple such as the latest soaker I knitted, or something more personal and complex such as my miscarriage.

My advice for newbies is put it all out there- don’t hold back! Write, write, write! And artistic-looking pictures never hurt your blog! Get up close to things and find new angles- it really helps with visual interest and keeps people coming back!

I LOVE IT! I wish I had more! It is always interesting to hear what people think about what you have had to say!

Some, occasionally. It can be a good way to keep in touch with out of town relatives.

Mothering Dot Commune on http://www.mothering.com is where I can be found most regularly! Chic_Mama

At home- soon my husband will have finished our basement and I really will be blogging from my very own, Mama Kenz Studio!

Probably a couple of hours

Mostly through forums and other natural parenting mamas.

My son! I am also very inspired by great authors that I love and respect and certain movies- especially a good chick flick- will really get my writing senses flowing!

I host a site to help mamas who are dealing with a pregnancy loss- http://www.hopeforhealing.weebly.com. Mamas can go there to find support, information and healing, along with IRL pregnancy loss doula support if they are local to me.

I would have to say the biggest way blogging has impacted me so far is in my recent miscarriage (Nov 07). I was able to blog about everything that was happening and it really helped me sort through my issues and also receive amazing support from my readers. I can absolutely say that blogging helped me get through that difficult time in my life.
