Interview with “Capturing Today”
“Capturing Today”

I started blogging as a way for family and friends who do not live near us to keep up with our family activities and pictures of our growing girls. I also found it a much easier way to journal all the little activities and fun projects that I want to remember for tomorrow!

Since May 2007

I blog about homeschool, cooking, frugal life, low impact living, chores, ranching, preserving foods, baking, craft projects, family events.

There’s No Place Like Home
Less of Me ~ More of Him
Oh My Stinkin Heck
Rocks In My Dryer
Training Hearts
Amy’s Humble Musings
Biblical Womanhood
Over The Moon With Joy
Raising 4 Godly Men

Blog about what you like, what you do in the day, your passions and interests. Don’t worry about your stats and how many people are reading. Just blog like it is a personal journal and it will be interesting. When you try to hard to blog for others, it becomes another chore.
Also, be careful about putting too much personal information out there on the internet. You can never be too careful, especially with your children.

I love comments! It is so nice to see what people are reading and why, what they liked most about what I wrote or how we did a project, and when they share ideas or cooking hints or tips.

Yes.

I don’t usually have time - by the time I blog and check my favorite blogs!

I tend to blog in the early morning or late at night after everyone is in bed asleep!

I try to blog every day - probably spending about an hour a day between site maintenance, posting and reading other blogs.

Yes, Technorati, Google Reader

More Deliberate Every Day

I love the journaling aspect of blogging. As my blog title says, I’m trying to capture today’s thoughts and moments for tomorrow’s memories!

Yes, we raise all-natural, hormone and antibiotic-free beef that we sell direct to our customers in the Mid-South area. That website is http://m4d-ranch.com

It has been great! I’ve met some wonderful women and families online, been inspired in my homeschool adventures, found strengths for my Christian walk, found wonderful books to read, great suggestions for projects, fantastic cooking tips and recipes - in all it has been a great experience!
