For me blogging is a fun social interaction, and possibly a way to make some money. However, I will keep blogging even if I can’t make any money because I’m addicted now!

I started blogging in July of 2007 because I couldn’t resist any longer.

My posts are usually about my daily life. I try to include funny things my children did. I usually do Wordless Wednesdays and a Sunday Poem. About once a week I try to have a more serious post along a Biblical line.

Biblical Womanhood, Rocks in My Dryer, Pioneer Woman, plus about 30 more “Mom Blogs.” My Bloglines changes often.

I’m still a newbie myself! :)
I try to have a “don’t give up” attitude. I also tell myself alot:”She did it on her blog. I can figure it out, too.”

I will return all comments by leaving a comment on the visitor’s blog. I do not leave follow up comments on my own site; and I usually don’t go back to all the places I’ve left comments to see if there is a reply. So, basically, no.

Oh, yes. I think the biggest group of my readers are people that actually know me in offline life. My mother-in-law reminds me if I don’t update every day.

Our computer is in the corner of my toy strewn living room.
I usually blog in the early afternoon when my children take naps and my husband is not here to fight me for the computer.

The writing varies. I like the post stamp option that Wordpress has.;) I try to limit myself to an hour of reading blogs per day. I’m a quick reader and check my Bloglines every day.

I have never used a search engine to find blogs. The first ones I read were recommended by a friend. The rest I’ve found through comments, Mr. Linky, or another blog referencing an article.

A friend from elementary school days got back into contact with me through e-mail. She was in the process of starting a blog and told me about some that she read. The rest is history.

I can’t remember the very first blog I read. I know that Biblical Womanhood was one of the very first. 5 Minutes For Mom wasn’t far behind; probably in my first 20. The name was intriguing because I really wanted that 5 minutes!

The Bible, my children, good quotes and poems are the things that first come to mind as inspiration.

Blogging opened up my world. I’ve been encouraged countless times by other Mom bloggers, challenged occasionally, influenced a little, and even made angry once in a great while. I’ve made great new friends online; which would have been shocking to me 5 years before I started. Blogging has allowed me to meet many other women that are similar to me and that has been a tremendous encouragement.
