Interview with “One Chic Mama”
“One Chic Mama”

I wanted a way to offer support and help to empower moms to be their very best after having kids. It can be hard to maintain a sense of style and find time for themselves, and I thought blogging would be a quick, easy and accessible way to reach out to moms of all ages, races, sizes and shapes.

I began One Chic Mama in May of 2006, so about a year and a half. It’s been amazing!

We cover such a wide variety of topics on everything from fashion and beauty tips to product reviews on fab stuff for both mom and kids, and just general tips to help keep moms informed and make their lives a little better.

I like to read Mommies with Style, Boston Mamas, Design*Sponge, Hostess With the Mostess, and many more…

Stick with it! Don’t get discouraged when your traffic is low – it starts out slow and will build as you grow. Don’t go long periods of time without a post or your audience will lose interest. And make sure you’re blogging about something you’re passionate about!

Occasionally. I’d rather they send me an email (michele@onechicmama.com) if they have tips or want to discuss something other than just make a comment.

A handful do. Mostly friends.

Not so much.

All over. I’m in the car right now, waiting to take my son to MMO. Anywhere that has wireless.

Oh, I’ve never really counted it up.

No, I just rely on word of blog.

Friends.

Blogging Baby.

Everything. Life. Kids. Style! Design!

Yes, I am a designer and have Mostess Creations (www.MostessCreations.com). We offer the cutest bib and burp cloth sets and mother/daughter aprons in vintage inspired prints.

Wow, it’s made me a whole lot more aware of what’s going on around me, and I realize how many other moms out there are like me. I feel I’m part of some big club or something. And I also feel more savvy – when I shop online now, I always do a search for a promo code so I can get the best price. Being a blogger and knowing what vendors are willing to offer, I know that deals are out there if I just look.
