My Life As JulieMom

Well, it’s a good way for me to have some time that’s just for me; where I’m not a wife, or a mom, or the missionary- just me. I can fulfill the creative part of me, and hopefully encourage others at the same time.

Well, I kinda had a false start in 2005, but have been blogging regularly since June of 2007.

Oh, the list is as varied as my pattern of thought! Anything from made up episodes of ‘What Not to Wear’, to Bible studies, my kids, our life, and everything in between. But not country music. You will never find that here. Ew.

BooMama, Fried Okra, Brenda

Find your own voice. Don’t worry about how many people read it. Figure out who you’re writing to, and stay focused on that. Do it because it makes you happy and you’ll enjoy it.

Yes, they are the majority of my reading audience. They know me well, and don’t mind that my blog is super-quirky. And stuff.

Mostly I sit at my kitchen table, because we now have internet at home. Here in South Africa that’s a huge accomplishment. I write when I feel inspired to, or when I need to say something.

The first blog I ever read was my friend Shannon

The Lord God, my Hubby, my Kids, people who are giving of themselves in an extraordinary way to see others brought to Christ…..oh, do you mean what inspires my blog writing? Oh, that’s my weird and innate sense of humor of course.

I find that I love when people comment. Especially when something strikes a chord with them and they have been encouraged. It’s cool to bond with people all over the world.

I love blogs that are different than mine, blogs that make me laugh, and that cause me to think. I also love blogs that challenge me in my walk with the Lord. But I don’t spend much time on the computer *cough* so I don’t read too many.
