Interview with Moriah from “Please Pass the Salt”

A little over a year ago we moved away for my husband to attend seminary. I started the blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends that we missed so badly.
And then I discovered this wonderful world of amazing bloggers (many of which have since become friends). It has been such a delight to me; an amazing community right at my fingertips.
Oh, we just moved back down South and are again amidst real-life friends. But I still blog because it’s become such a huge part of my life.

Summer of 2007.

My kids and their messes; thoughts and anecdotes about being a mama to three extremely busy and (sometimes funny) kids. Sometimes fashion finds or home decor. Whatever is on my mind or I find amusing.

I read quite a few blogs of people that I know in real life (and a few of them are password protected). My favorites of people I haven’t actually met are probably WonderGirl and the Sift, BooMama, Sarah’s In the Midst of It, Femina, FriedOkra, and BeanPaste. Also, my first bloggy friend turned IRL friend is Mer from Life at 7000 Feet.

Post often; write well. Comment, comment, comment.

Yes. Although, sometimes I wonder - do people really go back to check for a response?

Yes, many. I honestly don’t really know who specifically reads, though.

Home. No specific time; usually when my husband is home from work and the laptop is free.

A lot. It’s an outlet.

Nope, I sort of have a full blog plate right now. I find good reads through other blogs; but I don’t use a search engine for that purpose.

Oh, probably through a college friend/housemate, Jnet.

Regularly? Moot Thoughts and Musings and Jonesville: Population 5.

Truth. Beauty. Humor. Words.

No. Although I do have a joint dinnertime inspiration/food blog that is listed in my blogroll (that is currently being neglected). Also, I’m going to be sewing a bit for BohoBaby Slings - there is a link in my sidebar for its Etsy site.

I think any type of writing forces you to reflect on your life and your situation. And probably even more so when it’s going to be published for others to read.
It has been such an amazing and fun journey. I really cannot imagine my life without my blog.
