To network with other creative souls and to share my knowledge of crafting, motherhood, and the world of being a WAHM.

I have only been blogging a few short months. Prior to April ‘07, I really wasn’t sure what a blog was! But now I am really loving the opportunity to showcase my adventures in life and crafting and to connect with so many other moms via the blog world. Women helping women is a powerful thing and I feel so blessed to be able to grasp hold be a role model to my kids, and learn a thing or two along the way.

I blog about my kids and how we manage day to day while being a stay at home mom. I also use the opportunity to share my creative endeavors and try to gain comments and feedback about the new products in development for HappyHouseQuilts.com. I blog also about other crafty moms and how amazing they are and how they inspire me everyday.

http://knitsteel.blogspot.com/ is amazing…she is a blacksmith and mother to 2 kids. Her work is awesome and her take on life makes me stop and think all the time. I value her friendship and creativity!

Read lots of blogs and you will find your own voice and a few widgets along the way ![]()

Absolutely!!!

A few do but they lurk and don’t always tell me and when they mention something, I am always surprized and tickled to think they are curious about what I’m up to! It’s a really nice feeling to know that they care and want to keep up with my creativity and passions.

It’s so random…but usually early morning and late at night when the kids are all in bed. I blog at my desk in my living room with my beautiful garden peeking up over the window sill.

I wish I could spend more time reading but now that summer is here I have slowed down a bit…I’m sure once the colder days return I’ll be back to about 2-3 hours while the baby naps and the kids are in school…we canceled cable and…well…i have such a craving to see other crafters and really miss those shows on HGTV and DIYnetwork! Oh, and I hate cleaning, but shhhh don’t tell my kids!!!

I didn’t know I coud do that…great idea!!! I just thought I linked to ones I already knew about. I mostly find blogs through etsy.com which has a fabulous street team called EtsyMoms which I founded…we share so much and it’s a great resource!!!

My memories inspire me…Gardening, my kids, Color, fashion, Fabric…lack of practical items that are cool, funky or pretty. For example, I remember loving the 1970 leather slides used with a stick to hold long hair up in a twist. So now that I have long hair and need to keep it tamed with the kids all day, I have reinvented it with a Happy House Quilts twist…it’s not leather, it’s a quilt! It works so well, that I wear one everyday now and I’ve had multiple custom orders at the shop!

Yes I have an online shop at http://HappyHouseQuilts.etsy.com
and a store at http://mommyauctions.com

It has truly expanded my computer literacy!
