The Space Between My Peers

I have a multitude of inspirations for blogging, but mainly I love people and I have lots of words. Reasoning things out, I tell myself, is good for the brain; I thrive on tackling the analytical and psychological sides of sartorial questions.

The Space Between My Peers began at blogspot back in November of 2005. Since then, I have not had any trouble posting regularly. Winning ten books in a drawing at Problogger somehow inspired me to take the leap and buy my own domain: betweenmypeers.com.

I believe every human being is a unique work of an Artist. Thus, when we adorn ourselves, it should rightly be done in an artistic manner. That does not have to cost alot of money. Intrigued yet?

A regular feature is Friday Fashion Lab, where readers can submit pictures and get the community’s sense of what works and what works better.

Blogging is for you if you enjoy it. There’s nobody you need to apologize to if you decide it isn’t for you or you want to post on a variety of topics or an irregular schedule. Having a blog of any size is a way that people can learn a little more about you, especially if you choose to participate in conversations around the blogosphere.

Not only do I like to chat with my visitors, I generally don’t become a regular reader of any blog where the author doesn’t at least acknowledge me in some way. In other words, I’m in blogging not to make my ideas known as much as to meet people.

My sister has a personal blog and she reads mine also. My mom reads it most of the time, and my grandma even left a comment once. More and more of my offline friends are becoming bloggers themselves; most of them also read my blog. And I was recently featured in our local newspaper. We’ll see what happens next.

Believe it or not, I first heard about blogging from a Christian magazine. The gist of the article was that every Christian leader should have a blog, and they listed a few resources for starting one.

My readers inspire me!
