“Cool Moms Rule!”

I blog about being a Mom to my two boys, who on my blog I refer affectionately to as “the Rhino” and “the Owl.” I think that a lot of Moms can relate to what I have to say, and I find I learn a lot from my readers. Sometimes, I ask for their advice, and other times I’ve found a tip or trick that’s worked for me, and I share that with them!

I like a lot of very eclectic blogs. I enjoy the community over at Maya’s Mom, and I spend a lot of time over there with the “blogging Moms” group. I also visit gaming blogs like “Fuel the Rebellion”, which is hosted by blogger, where I have my blog. I’m an avid gamer–it’s a great way to spend time with my boys!

The best advice I could give anyone thinking of blogging is–Just Do It! (I apologize to Nike for that, but it’s true!) You need to sit down and write and write and write. Pay close attention to your content. Really strive to give your posts your best. Readers value good writing and they appreciate the time and effort you put into your posts.

Well, my Mom does, because she’s my Mom, and she pretty much has to! What’s fun is that my boys read it, too, and like to participate in polls and things I might have. Recently, my youngest son wrote a story that’s getting some local praise, and I have a poll on my blog right now asking if I should post his story for everyone to read there. He went online and answered the poll himself, telling everyone how great he is! : )

I really do spend every free minute I can get either writing in my own blog or commenting on others I have read. I know the hard work that goes into blogging, and though I love it, of course, I want to show other bloggers that they are appreciated, because we don’t always hear that–we just see how many of you have visited our blog, not whether you really liked what we had to say!
