Interview with Brandy from “The Building Brows”

“The Building Brows”

http://thebuildingbrows.blogspot.com

I started out blogging about our house construction so family and friends across the world (we have friends in Sudan) could see how our house construction was progressing and keep updated with us without large phone bills or lots of e-mail time.

When we ran out of building money, I realized I had unexpectedly developed a readership and they wanted posts, so I adapted my blog to write more about family, parenting, and being many members living in a small space. When building resumes, I’ll excitedly post construction photos again.

The Building Brows also serves as a wonderful photo journal that I often reference to place needed events or facts, like how many kids I had when we first moved into the trailer. (Yes, I had to look that up and my blog gave me the answer. I’m so glad I blog!)

My first post went up New Year’s Day 2005 when family came to help us erect huge roof trusses even though some people had probably spent the evening partying and gotten little sleep.

Flavored with humor, key topics I blog about include our lifestyle, family, parenting, organization, construction, home products, recalls, faith, and finances.

Yes, I do. I love comments!

Absolutely. Yet whenever someone says they’ve read my blog, it still surprises me. :)

I frequent Crazy Hip Mamas formum and PayPerPost boards

I first heard about blogging online. I wanted to blog, but had nothing worth blogging about so I didn’t. When my friend Terry Whalin, Howard Publishing Acquisitions Editor, started blogging, I realized I had blog material in our house construction and I knew it was time to begin.
