Interview with Millie from “Cabin 77″

“Cabin 77″

http://cabin77.livejournal.com

I come from a very creative family – Mom’s a playwrite, Dad is a retired theatre professor, Brother is a professional animator. I used to be a professional singer/comedy writer/performer but put it on hold to be a stay-at-home mom of two: Princess (born 2000) and Buddy (born 2003). We just opened our own business and Hubby is working late hours. I sometimes need the illusion that I’m talking to adults. So I blog. But also, I see it as another form of performance.

Since March of 2006.

My daily life – the ins and outs of being a stay at home mom of young ‘uns. And I also hope to examine how God works in the day to day life of a stay at home mom of young ‘uns. He actually works overtime!

http://www.mommyblog.com/ I just found this one! Love it!

http://incandragon.livejournal.com/ This one has nothing to do with kids. It’s written by one of my best friends from high school. She tells the GREATEST stories!

http://austingospel.blogspot.com/index.html One man’s journey through the Christian culture of Austin, Texas. Very interesting!

http://gina-everydaylife.blogspot.com/ Another of my best friends from high school. She is fabulous at seeing the lesson in everyday occurances.

Just do it. Write a little something at least once a week at first. Then keep it up.

Yes, I love it! But I don’t like anonymous comments. Names or User Names, please!

Yes. I use the blog to keep my out of town family (parents, cousins, etc.) up to date on what the kids are doing. I got my mom involved in blogging! She’s fairly regular at http://towertheatre.livejournal.com. She’s a writer by trade so her blogs are really interesting.

No, I pretty much just stick to blogging.

We have a home office. I usually blog in the mornings before I get the kids ready for school.

Probably about an hour or so per day. If I’m having a particularly . . . interesting day I might spend a little more time!

Just Google.

A friend (Incandragon – see list of blogs that I read) turned me on to it. I had been interested in it, but I needed someone to hold my hand and guide me through the steps to create a blog. Then I needed someone to read it!!! Incandragon was all of the above for me! And she continues to mentor me.

Humor. Beauty. My kids. Chocolate. You know, good stuff. And sometimes I’m inspired by frustration.

Not yet. Stay tuned! I’m very interested in photography. A website may be coming soon!
