Interview with Cherrye from “My Bella Vita”

“My Bella Vita”

My Bella Vita

I am a journal’ist by heart….No, not the kind of journalist who takes notes and writes stories for the newspaper (although my dad owned and operated a weekly newspaper most of my life), but the kind of gal who is a natural journal-keeper. I started blogging to keep in touch with family who friends back in Texas, and to be able to keep a journal at the same time. What can I say? I like to be efficient!

I blog about life in Italy, getting accustomed to this new life, and the trials, tribulations, and joys of being in this new place. I also talk a lot about myself and sometimes I ask my readers for advice on my personal life.

I am still probably considered a “young blogger.” I have been blogging on and off since June ‘06. I would say the best advice I could give would be to read other people’s blogs and leave comments. I have had a lot of people tell me they read a blog post or they have been reading my blog, but they have never commented. As a blogger - I like to know they are there!

I love chatting with my readers through the comments (I am just not sure if/when they go back and read it)!

Not very many, which is ironic since that is the reason I started the blog. I have made more pals through blogging who read my posts regularly.

I blog from my house in Catanzaro, Italy. Always! When I am on vacation in Texas, I never post…which is bad because then people stop coming to your blog…I am going to try to get better at that.

I try not to spend more than one hour a day, but I usually do. Once I start it is addictive!
