MamaArcher's Blog

I started blogging as a way to begin to write out things that were important to me and to be able to share with others the things that God has taught me. God has blessed me in this and expanded this ministry. I am now writing for an online homeschool newsletter and am a contributor on three other blogs besides my own.

I began blogging in March of 2007.

Family, encouraging things about being a wife and mother, financial peace, homeschooling and curriculum, everyday life, spiritual topics, and whatever elsethe Lord might lay upon my heart.

Don’t give up! Do not get discouraged if you do not have a large readership right away. Just blog and if you are honoring God, He will add the increase if it is a ministry He has for you.

Yes, I love to visit with those who have taken the time to stop by my little corner of the internet! I will respond in my comments section and usually pay a visit to their blog too. I also have a little chat box on my blog which is fun for a quick hello or note.

I think some family reads my blog. We live far from most of our family and it is a way for them to keep up on things. I have some friends that read as well. We move often so blogging makes it easier to stay in touch!

From my home computer throughout the day.

I know I spend more time than I should be but I am trying to set boundaries not to let it interrupt the important things I am responsible to manage.

I think I am inspired most by other godly women, especially those with large families who homeschool because I can relate to them. I am also inspired by those who hold fast to their God-given convictions and who blog about it even if it might not be the most popular topic.

When I started blogging eleven months ago I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I have been hurt, discouraged and forced to look more deeply at who I am. Though most painful, this has stretched me and caused me to grow. But I have also made many friends along the way. They have encouraged me, spurred me on and challenged me which has also caused me to grow. The Lord is actively at work in my life and I have a peace that passes all understanding. I have been allowed to be a blessing to others and the Lord continues to open new doors of ministry for me in the blogging world. This adds a great responsibility I did not anticipate and is one I constantly feel ill-equipt to fulfill. I am humbled each time I am praised because I know that it is only by the power of the Spirit that anyone is touched.
