Interview with gr8tful4grace from “Homeschool In the Little House”

“Homeschool In the Little House”

I try to blog several times a week to be “real.” It’s a cathartic experience to record life as it really happens. The Lord has shown me blessings I wasn’t aware of because I wasn’t thinking about it. He’s also shown me areas that I can improve and grow in.

I also blog to capture the memories. I have a box of pictures that really, really need to be scrapbooked, but it never happens. I’m blogging now and hope to slurp it all into a book at the end of the year.

I started my blog two years ago, but I’ve only been faithfully posting since November of this year.

I think it varies from week to week. Right now I’m in the middle of planning the next school year, so curriculum choice is high on the list. But I most love to post when the Lord gives me little nuggets of truth. I love sharing truth.

I’m so new to blogging myself, I don’t think I have too much wisdom to share. But what I found helpful was to read other people’s blogs first. I took note of what I liked in a blog and created something similar at my blog.
The Lord led me to pray over my blog…that it would be to His glory. I don’t post anything that I haven’t first prayed about.

I love comments. It’s good to hear the thoughts of readers. It’s a blessing to have far away friends (and close ones too) stop by and share their hearts.

Yes. Sometimes it’s confusing to me to have an offline friend start talking to me about something I posted on my blog but hadn’t shared with my mouth yet. {grin}
But it’s great fun!

I blog in the late afternoons usually, after our formal learning is done for the day. Sometimes I blog early in the morning, if there are a few extra minutes. You have to be careful not to get sucked into the time vacuum though. {wink}

I take about fifteen minutes a day to read blogs. I spend about thirty minutes a day writing.

The Lord and His work inspires me. Nothing fascinates me more than seeing His hand in people’s lives.
