I blog as a way for me to put in words all the everyday things in my life. I want to be able to go back and read these things and see where God has worked in our lives and see how we have grown.

I have been blogging off and on since 2004. I deleted the first 6 months or so of my blog in a “fit” one day and I regret that loss. I now print off a section every month or so and place it in a journal so that I can have it for keeps!

Like the title says, I blog about everyday us. There are good days and there are bad days and that is just the way life is. I have blogged about my husband being deployed to Iraq, about my son’s challenge with Asperger Syndrome, about my desires to rehab a historic home one day, about Bible verses, etc.. By choosing to blog about everything, I hope that people will learn who we truly are and realize that even though we may not be perfect, we are forgiven.

Keep blogging for yourself. You may never get comments in your blog but it will be healing for you to be able to go back and read your blog and see the many things you have accomplished or grown from. Blog, Blog, and Blog some more!!

I really do! I don’t get lots of comments but I recently had a comment about my chicken torilla soup recipe and that led to a few emails, with the last one saying how much the family had enjoyed the soup! That made me feel great!!

My sister in law reads my blog (http://www.mamaarcher.blogspot.com/) and some friends do as well but I don’t know exactly how many.

I visit O.A.S.I.S., an Asperger’s website/forum, Christian Mom’s of Many Blessings, a Christian mom website, and Doug Phillips blog, founder of Vision Forum, often. I visit too many to list, of course, but those are some of my favorites!

I blog from my home most of the time. There have been many times that I have written things that I think would make an interesting topic on a piece of scrap paper so I don’t forget. As far as the blog spot that I use, I started with the attached blog at our free angelfire website, then I moved over to xanga because that is where my friends were, and now I’ve moved back to angelfire just because it’s easier for me to only have to be at one place to do all my edits and changes.

I spend an hour or so a day looking at blogs and then the time I spend typing in my own blog may just be a few minutes one day, or 20 minutes multiple times a day if I find I have more to say.

I never search for blogs but if I come across one on accident or while reading at another one I’ll post a comment as long as I don’t have to register to post. I’m registered at enough places that I can’t keep track…LOL

I first heard about a good friend of ours named Daren Love. Daren is completely on the opposite political scale as I am so I could post comments in his blog, or he could post one in mine, and that was were it stayed. We never talked politics other than that.

I probably read Bill O’reilly’s or another Fox news blog first… I can’t remember for sure.

God working in and around me inspires me! I have experienced so much in my life and I struggle to keep the past in the past and live my present and future life for God’s glory. My husband inspires me to be a better wife, one that is capable of being the best wife for him and to meet his needs wherever he is at in his own life. My children inspire me to be the mom that they will want to share with and turn to in their times of need and their times of joy.

Our family webpage is Anderklan’s Home on the Web and that is just a set of pages that tell all about us. It is undergoing major construction now as it hasn’t been changed since about 2005 and I want to update it new graphics and content. Go on and give us a visit — just please excuse the dust!!
