Interview with Kini from “Kini’s Place”

It started as just a way to keep notes on the things that happened on a mostly daily basis–a diary of sorts. My intention was that friends and family could keep up with our mundane stuff as well as the special stuff that comes up.

I started blogging in August of 2006. Back then it was internal to my network and I was the only one to read it. In February, I finally got my own domain name and moved it out into that big world of cyberspace.

Most of the time it is about my kids and something that they have done–the good, and the not-so-good. I also blog about my life, house, annoyances, and pleasures.

Be yourself, but, don’t divulge full details if you wouldn’t want it to bite you in the butt later on (ie… don’t slam your boss! You’d be surprise how many employers look you up online.)

Have fun with it! Blog what you know.

Yes! Absolutely.

My daughter has read it, a few friends, and I think my husband has (he won’t admit it though). Beyond that, I am not sure…

Not so much. Not yet.

I blog from home mostly on my Mac Book Pro. When? Whenever the inspiration strikes, though it trends towards early morning or late evening.

Every day. I spend way too much time doing both, but, hey, it’s fun! Probably several hous each day, some days more some days less. Depends, too, on what the kids are doing and what I am supposed to be doing.

No, not really. I tend to go to new blogs based on their inclusions in other posts (that I already read) or a link from someone’s blogroll.

The Amazing Shrinking Mom is the first blog I read and I continue to read it!

My children. My husband. The wonderous things that happen around me.

I have a really old one set up still… I started that one way back in 1996!!! I haven’t really updated it in a long time, but you are welcome to take a looksie: Cindy’s World.
