Interview with Luisa Perkins from “Novembrance”

I love to keep a diary and keep in touch with friends and family. My blog lets me do both!

I started my blog in September 2006, but I got serious about it at the end of December 2006. Now I blog nearly every day.

Whatever I’m obsessing about that day: knitting, my kids, food, my spiritual struggles and insights, my writing, cooking–it varies.

Ooooh, so many good ones! But here are some favorites: I love http://yarnstorm.blogs.com/knitblog, http://pezmama.blogspot.com/, http://mentaltesserae.blogspot.com/, and http://www.whatimadefordinner.blogspot.com/.

I’m a newbie myself. But I would say: consider your audience. Picture them and imagine their responses as you write.

I’ve just started actually getting comments, but so far, so good!

Yes, it’s how I keep in touch with a lot of long-distance loved ones.

Nope.

I blog after I’ve gotten my daily 1,000 words done, and while the big kids are studying and the baby is napping.

Probably a half hour per day. It’s cheaper and more convenient than long-distance phone calls.

My sister, a techie/graphics design genius who really should have her own blog (hint, hint, Steph!) thought it would be a good outlet for me.

Genius Jane Brocket’s Yarnstorm (listed above). Her photos are gorgeous and so is her writing. She’s a constant inspiration.

The beauty of the earth, its Creator, my kids, my best friend/husband, great writing and art, and fabulous food.

This is it!
