I started blogging to share my finished crochet and beaded items. Now, I use it as an outlet for my emotions (good and bad), to tell stories about my kids, and to show my craft projects.

If you don’t know HTML and/or CSS, start out with a blog host where the templates are to your liking and easy to change. Blog about something you care about, like your kids, pets, family or hobbies. You don’t have to post every day, and your posts don’t have to be a certain length. Write for you.


Sure, especially if there are questions in the comments to answer.


My husband sometimes reads my blog, but I’m not sure about other family. A couple of people I knew offline first now read my blog.

My hubby Del mentioned that I should check out Blogger.com and see if that was something I would be interested in. My first blog was on Blogger, but I’ve since switched to Wordpress.


I think it was Patterns by Dot, a crochet patterns blog by designer Dot Matthews.
