Lots of reasons. I love to remember funny moments and little nuggets of life. Maybe my kids will enjoy reading it one day (or not!). It is also great therapy but I try not to rant about things too much. I try to make every situation something we can laugh about.

Since June 2004. I didn’t dare tell a soul about it at first, but have since stopped being so shy. In 2006 I finally came out of my shell and joined blog directories and participated in memes such as Wordless Wednesday, Thursday Thirteen and Photo Hunters.

A huge variety of topics. Mostly parenting, the great and often quirky things about my kids, family and business travels, and a couple of geeky topics here and there. I also like to pass along interesting things from the internet and podcasts and I sometimes review books and music (mostly classical).

Check out my blogroll on Bloglines. Besides my personal friend’s blogs, I really enjoy A Suburban Mom: Notes from the Asylum and Frugal for Life.

Don’t be shy. Yes, it is all out there on the internet, but unless you promote yourself, you can remain pretty anonymous if you want to be. Then you’ll realize that it’s more fun when people do actually read your blog and can laugh or commiserate.

I love comments and having the interactions with readers. It’s not that often that readers come back to read any further comments, but I try to keep up with my comments on other people’s blog by using the Commentful tool.

I have to send reminders to all my friends to keep up. I think the blog reading community reads it more than my personal friends.

Usually at my computer at home, but sometimes I will sneak a post in at work. Sometimes I will bring the laptop to my daughter’s room as she is trying to fall asleep and I also take the laptop to my son’s skating lessons, as the have wi-fi in the arena. Can you say computer addiction?

Bloglines is always on my second monitor at work so I pretty much keep up all the time. Yes, definitely an addiction.

I often peruse the blogrolls of blogs that I read and find jewels that way.

Probably from Time magazine, back when I actually had time to read magazines.

It would have to be Mommy Chronicles by Martha Brockenbrough which originally ran on MSN in 2000. Her posts were compiled into a book, It Could Happen To You: Diary Of A Pregnancy and Beyond.

My kids, my husband, my mom. The great and often unnoticed achievements of my friends and family.

I am an avid photographer and have thousands of pictures on Flickr. I also have a mobile phone blog, iPhone bytes, a contest blog, contest bytes, and maintain a group dream blog, geek sleep.
