Fluttering Butterflies

I blog for so many reasons! I originally started Fluttering Butterfliesbecause I was afraid being a mother would end up becoming EVERYTHING I am. I love my son, but I wanted to write about my other interests in an effort to continue HAVING other interests other than my precious baby boy. But the fact that I’ve met so many interesting people along the way KEEPS me blogging! I’ve also slowly began using my blog as a way to vent childhood issues that are still affecting my life.

I began Fluttering Butterflies in January of 2006 and have recently celebrated my one year blogiversary! (woo hoo for me!)

I normally blog about my son, books I’ve read. My current TV addictions, I have a tendency to do too many memes, my fears and goals, daily life, my childhood. Anything that strikes my fancy, really! Suggestions are welcome though!

I think my favourite blogs vary from week to week, but certainly Keris Stainton and Exorcise My Devils are well worth checking out!

Write about what interests you, comment on other people’s blog and vary what you write about!

When I first started blogging, I did start with good intentions to respond and acknowledge all commentors, but I’m afraid I’ve fallen a little way from that lately. It is something I’m going to have to work on, because I adore new comments!

My husband occasionally reads the blog, and some of my good friends have started up blogs of their own, which is always great! But not as many friends and family read my blog as I’d like!

Because my son Elliot has become so active, I normally blog during naptimes and after Elliot has gone to sleep for the night! I blog from our office, in the room next to where Boy sleeps at home.

I spend far, far too many hours devoted to my blog and catching up on all the blogs I read on a daily basis. I blame all of you for being so interesting!

My husband was the one who first mentioned blogging to me, and after reading his hilarious (though short-lived) blogs, I decided I had to have on as well!

The first blogs I read were my husband’s, but they haven’t lasted for very long, otherwise, Meg’s Diary - Meg Cabot, the hugely successful author of The Princess Diaries and other fabulous books…

My son! My friends and family! Other bloggers who have the courage to reach deep down and write about their experiences, their pain, happiness.
