“The Story of Mia”

I started blogging as a way to educate people about how easy it really is to adopt a special needs child. I hoped to encourage more people to adopt these special kiddos. It has since then turned into a one for all story of our life together. The challenges and the blessings. I still alk about adopting and special needs adoption. But it has turned into more about our daily lives learning from each other than anything else.

I started the blog in Sept 2006 right after our daughter came home from Guatemala.

Everyday life in our house. Adoption and Mia’s accomidations and how she is doing.

I have a TON of adoption related blogs listed in my blogroll on the blog. I can never choose just one. I am addicted to them all…lol

Just try it. It is so easy and it is really theraputic. It gets things out that you may not even realize, until you have typed them, that you thought them. It is such a simple thing and there are so many blogging sites with everything ready-made so allyou have to do is write a post, like an email.

I don’t usually comment on my own blog, but I love comments and I always welcome people to email me privately if they wish. And if a comment section becomes too full, I will gladly start a new post with my thoughts onit, and possibly even share some of the comments that are already posted.

Yes, my mom and mother in law, as well as my sister all read my blog. And those are just the people I know of. I have cuaght some cousins mention things as well, since my blog address is listed at the bottom of all my emails it gets out there for them.

I do. I visit adoption.com’s Guatemala forum, special needs forum, and Wichita, Kansas forum.
As well as Soul of Adoption. I vist all of their forums by pressing “unread posts since last visit”

I blog from my house in Wichita, Kansas. I try to blog at least every other day but there are times I fall behind. Usually I blog in the evening or in the morning while Mia is sleeping or eating…lol

I would say probably babout 5 hours a week blogging. And reading blogs But that does not include any time I put in adding links or changing the homepage picture, which I try to do often.

No I don’t. I usually find blogs by reading comments on other peoples blogs.

My big sister started one about her African Adoption Journey

God, my family, nature, and life in general

Nope just theone, all about Mia and our life as her parents
