Interview with Kuanyin from “The Art of Living and Dying”

“The Art of Living and Dying”

I was born with a strong drive to communicate. Journalism was my major, and throughout my life, I strive to communicate simply, clearly and often. :-) Blog are an outlet for my need to express my creativity and desire to communicate globally.

I started my first blog–Who’s Yo Mama? (www.mamamaui.blogspot.com) when I was going through the crisis of our home renovation. I managed the renovation with the contractors, workers, etc. while my mate when off to work. The noise, confusion, and challenges provoked me to blog about this subject.

If you check out my Blogger profile, you will see I blog about all kinds of things: Motherhood, Maui, blogging, photoblogs, my nonprofit blog (http://dancingdolphininstitute.blogspot.com), humor, and an assortment of subjects.

This is a challenging question for me because I’m such an information junkie that I have a hard time playing favorites. I read all kinds of blogs…an eclectic taste I guess you could say.

Hang in there! It gets easier. At first, all the terms, names, places are intimidating, especially for a non-techie person like myself. I had to keep extensive notes. I stressed out all the time trying to teach myself html and templates, but after a while, it gets easier. If you can find someone to help you out when you get in a fix (as I did at certain points), it is worth it to pay them! I found a great gal who responds whenever I yell help. Without her help, I would have been way more stressed out.

Sometimes yes. Sometimes there really isn’t more to be said. If it’s someone new, I go visit their blog and leave a comment.

Oh yes! I have a large following of family & friends who read all my blogs, although I’m the ONLY major blogger in my group. I fixed up two blogs for my mate so he could blog. I got him fairly addicted to blogging, although his work doesn’t allow him to blog as often as he would like.

BlogHer is the one I visit most often.

I have a gorgeous desk in my home with lots of light coming in from my deck outside my large window. My preference is to blog in the morning, if I can fit it into my schedule. If not, I’ll sometimes blog into the afternoon and evening. Whatever time allows.

Many, Many HOURS! Actually, I should tally them up to determine how many as I’ve never done this. Researching and reading take up many hours before I even begin to write. I’m also working on several books.

I’ve bumped around Technorati a bit. I have no trouble finding blogs to read because of all the affiliations I have online. It’s more like if I have time!

Can’t recall!

Once again, this seems like ancient history.

Beauty, goodness, role models, unconditional love, kindness, and the awakened heart.

I haven’t done anything with this website in awhile, so it’s not updated: www.angelfire.com/trek/dolphindreams. I prefer to keep my online status as a blogger unassociated with my real name and identity as I have had many instances in the past of people showing up at my home from all over the world. They had asked around and had located me. Several stalkers too. This is very unnerving to me, and one of the reasons I am extra careful about being too specific online. This is why I use a blog name.
