To motivate myself to keep writing, to keep refining this craft that I love.

Only since December 2006, but I’m already addicted!

Parenting, teaching, writing, spirituality, interesting moments that stay with me, and inspire me to create something from them.

I read some of the local blogs in my area (cublogs.com), and I read blogs on the Literary Mama and Imperfect Parent sites. I also love the Chocolate and Zucchini blog by a young Parisian woman who write about food and life in Paris. Fabulous!

Not really, because I am a newbie! Although I do feel that bloggers sometimes write too much to a familar audience, and that limits the appeal of their work to other readers. I try to make each of my entries a complete “essay” in itself, so that people don’t have to know me or my life details in order to relate to it.

Yes, I do!

Yes! I love that!

Home, mostly in the evenings when my kids are asleep! Although I often use the “draft” feature of Blogger to write myself notes on things that I want to go back to later.

Ugh…more than I should!

Not yet, I’m just learning about this. It’s a whole world of things to explore!

Through a project that I’m doing at work involving the use of on-line writing activities to help students on academic probation. I created this program, and needed to learn more about blogs in order to find a medium for writing that would appeal to students.

I think it was probably something from Literary Mama, which is a site I love.

Everything inspires me…the way the trees look in the winter, the weird and funny things my kids say, words, poetry, music, other people’s stories, everyone’s struggles to make sense of their lives.

Yes, I have two other blogs, one that I use for my creative writing and one that I use to write about my experiences of teaching at a large university.
