Often, my blog serves as my morning writing warm-up before I move on to whatever book or writing project I’m working on. It’s a great way to get the creative juices going.

I blog about the mayhem and madness of being a professional writer, while trying to keep one 11 year old daughter, one 7 year old Australian Shepherd, one 3 year old Border Collie mix, and one 8 month old Maine Coon cat out of trouble.

Can’t tell you how many good ideas I’ve had when there wasn’t a scrap of paper to be found within 50 miles. Now I keep a little notebook in my pocket so when that brilliant blogging idea strikes, no matter where I am, I can jot it down for later.

The nice thing about comments is that you get verification that actual, real people are stopping by to read what you write. That’s very gratifying. So I’d have to say that, yes, I appreciate those visitors who take the time to comment. I’m happy to chat with them.

I usually blog in the early morning. Since I work on a lap top, depending on the weather, that can be inside or outside.

Being outside. Looking up at the stars. Getting my hands dirty in my garden. Being with wise people. Going on occasional walk-abouts. My family.
