Ward and June

I started blogging at my husband’s encouragement. Now that I’ve been doing it awhile, I find myself blogging in my head. Something will happen and I’ll think “I gotta take a picture of that for the blog” or “This would make a great blog story!”

We’ve had a blog just for family and friends since July 2003. My husband encouraged me a couple months ago to start a blog just for me.

Our daily life, knitting, gardening and bargain hunting.

I love comments and will answer any questions someone leaves for me.

Yes, my Mom and Aunt read my blog every day. Our family blog is primarily pictures so they enjoy the stories on my blog. My Aunt prints out my blog posts and takes them to my elderly grandparents.

I try to post before we start school each morning. If that doesn’t work out, I post during our mid morning break. My computer is in our home office.

A typical post takes me about 30 minutes to write. I suppose it could be much faster if I weren’t such a perfectionist. The majority of my on line time is spent reading blogs. I allow myself one hour of blog reading time each afternoon. If I didn’t limit myself, I could easily waste the whole day!

My husband told me about blogging. I thought it sounded crazy. Why would anyone put information about their lives on the internet? Who would want to read it? I thought it was surely a passing fad.
