I blog for several reasons: to journal my thoughts, record ideas, update friends on my life, hopefully to minister to others as I learn and grow myself. I also like to participate in weekly memes to get good ideas.

I started blogging in 2003 right after my now middle child was a year old (and at that time was my youngest child)

Hehehe… my bloglines subsription list tops 100. I would get in trouble if I tried to list any of them right now.

If I want to respond to a comment I typically answer comments personally, either through their comments with a RYC (re your comment) or through email.

It is kind of funny, the family that reads my blog are mostly my in-laws, My MIL, both SIL’s and one BIL all blog and read mine. My very best friend in real life reads my blog, as does my pastor’s wife and a few other pw’s that also blog.

Since I have gone back to work it has changed to basically in the evenings and on weekends.

I read usually in the afternoons after work - while my children are playing and then maybe again after they have gone to bed. I probably spend 30 - 45 reading and responding to some blogs - more if I am writing my own.

My oldest SIL is a breast cancer survivor and started her blog during her treatments as a journal about thoughts and feelings etc. during that time, it was a link to her family that were all at least 10 hours away from her. I started reading her blog back then. I started my own to comment back and forth with her and it grew from there.
