Organized Homemaking Days

Even though I have a website, my blog is a bit more human about what frustrations, or new things I may have going. It is a bit anonymous as I am a foster mother. I do not post our pictures or actual names. World is too small.

I’ve been blogging about a year and a half.

My blogging is varied. Since I’m a stay at home mom I could blog about cleaning my bathtub…actually I think I have. But yeah that’s the kind of stuff. Discovering new ways to keep my toddler active, new things I’ve found online. My favorite workout videos. I like participating in the memes because believe it or not they can really help you stay focused with home organization. Menu planning, tackling something big, a craft project, etc. I don’t participate in many memes though because that can get distracting.

5 Minutes For Moms has a bit of everything and connects many of us. I also find about what’s happening in the blogosphere from here.
Organizing Junkie: She’s a woman after my own heart with the whole organizing thing. I can get caught up here though so I have to keep it brief.
Valley Girl:Valleygirl keeps me laughing and thinking. Inbetween these hilarious posts of her life up north we get snippets that make us think more of our walk with God.
W8NG4Him: I really find Shereen to be a great inspiration also. A homeschooling mother of 4 she gives her family her all and it shows. Great tips on homeschooling and homemaking too. If read nothing else for a week I usually try and stop by Shereen’s blog.

It’s important to know why you’re blogging. In the beginning I just jumped in because everyone said you should. I personally don’t know if that’s true. I saw the women who had their blogs as their websites and I got confused. I started the blog and I dropped off for a while. But now I blog just to add more personal tidbits that don’t have a place on my Homemaking Organized.

If you’re doing a blog as an add-on to your site then keep it that way. A view into the life behind the work.

If your blog is all personal then keep it that way also. I just recently took my blog of the pages of Homemaking Organized. You can find references to it here and there but really they are separate entities.

Yes I do and sometimes i can get too chatty. If you have a question please ask.

A few do.

http://www.momsofgrace.com and just recently. Truly as a work at home mom I have little enough time for the work so the blog and then forums come last.

I blog on my laptop in the late hours of the night, and the wee hours of the morning.

Very little. On the days I do blog probably about 30 minutes. So maybe about 2 hours a week.

Nope. I like finding them by word of mouth.

Goodness! I don’t know. Probably from my sister. She’s always in the know. And she keeps me up to date.

Now that I cannot tell you. I probably didn’t even realize it was a blog.

Other people, books, family. My sister really inspires me. We get together and I have to get a notebook to jot down all the great tips and ideas she gives me. My mom does too. We’re all pretty close.

I’ve met some great women, learned new things, inspired. You name it. Blogging is the ultimate forum.
