Interview with Angel from “1SmartMom”
“1SmartMom”

I worked as a nanny, daycare worker and in-home childcare provider for 6 years. Even with all my experience with children I found parenting a whole different ballgame, and I was so thankful for the Moms in my life that helped me be a better mom. It has been on my heart for along time to “Pay It Forward” so to speak. My husband and I teach a parenting class at our church, and as my husband is a web designer we felt this was the next step.

I blog on a variety of subjects, but all pertaining to being a mom and woman. Some of my topics include what it means to “Train a child”, discipline techniques, and inspiration for the woman that is a mother.

As I have only been blogging since August 2006, I consider my self still a “newbie”. But my advice would be,When someone links to your site or leaves a comment, be sure to return the favor by checking out theirs and possibly leaving a comment.

LOVE IT! I look forward to others thoughts and comments. It lets me know if I am really reaching or helping someone, which is my goal.

I try to get up in the mornings before the rest of the family, and spend about an hour blogging and checking out other blogs Monday through Friday.

My own personal parenting concerns will usually send me in a search for an answer, I figure if I am asking the question other moms probably are too. I have a hunger for anything that makes me a better mom, wife, and woman. I find my inspiration from parenting books and other mom blogs I read, my Pastors, and other moms who share the same thoughts, feelings, and concerns.
