Interview with “Teach Your Tot”
“Teach Your Tot”

I began doing many of the ideas posted a Teach Your Tot with my oldest daughter when she was about 15 months old. I had a first hand experience at seeing how these simple activities helped her learn and develop new skills.
Having several activities planned throughout our day, also helped things run a little smoother. I wanted to share what we were doing at home; therefore, I started Teach Your Tot.
I want other moms to have a place to go to get simple, fun, meaningful activities to do with their young children.

I love to scrapbook! (I wish I had more time to do it) Some of my favorite blogs are blogs by my favorite scrapbookers! Stephanie Howell’s blog, http://stephaniehowell.typepad.com/ and Elizabeth Kartchner’s blog, http://elizabethkartchner.blogspot.com/ are just a couple.

I love to chat with any moms about anything! I feel that talking with other moms, who are going through the same experiences as you are help get me through those tough days more than anything else! I love getting comments at Teach Your Tot, because I am always open to new ideas and opinions!

Yes! My sister has three small children the same ages as my kids and she reads and participates in all of the activities that are provided.
I also have a very close friend, where we live, with young children. We would be both do the “Theme of the week” at Teach Your Tot and then have playdates where we would do activities with all the kids together. This made our toddlers’ learning experiences even richer!

I blog at home, in a small corner of my house. I wake up and hour and 1/2 before anyone in my house and that is when I usually blog. I love this time when the house is quiet and I am alone with my thoughts and coffee!

My children inspire me! I never thought how much they would actually help me learn new things and try to be a better person!
