Interview with “Fiddledeedee”

Because it is way cheaper than therapy.

My blog was born in July of 2006.

Mostly my children. Since I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of 3, I’m WITH THEM A LOT. So, they generally provide me with material. If they don’t, I venture out to stories about my family and friends. So, my family and friends are praying hard that my children are providing me with enough material.

Other mommy bloggers that are sailing in the same type of sinking ship that I’m in. There are a number of them that really tickle my funny bone. I need that.

Make sure that you’ve married someone that knows his way around the computer. When my husband tries to explain something computerly technical to me, my eyes just glaze over, and he pulls up a chair and fixes it the problem.

All the time. Some of the comments that appear on my blog are at least as much fun as the blog itself. I have developed a blogging relationship with some amazing women.

Yes. Out of fear. Just to make sure that they haven’t made it into one of my stories. Which are almost all true by the way.

My computer is set up by “command central”, otherwise known as my kitchen. I usually read and comment on other blogs at night, during “golden hour”, when the children are asleep.

I’ve had to really cut back on my blog time. Since these people I live with keep asking for food and clean clothes. I try to write at night after they’ve been shipped off to bed. I may spend an hour or so a night. But, recently, I’ve implemented a “no blogging on the weekend” rule.

I use Bloglines to catch up with my favorite blogs.

My husband, who has grown tired of hearing my stories over and over, suggested “Why don’t you start a blog?” I said, “What’s a blog?”

A mommy blogger who used a lot of bad four dollar words. But she made me laugh until tears were shooting out of my eyes. My bad words are limited to “poopoo” and “peepee” sometimes. Oh, and MENSTRUATION. But that’s all, I promise.

After 4 or 5 cups of coffee in the morning, pretty much anything.
