I love to write. When I gave up my career as a journalist and cartographer to be a stay-at-home mom, I had to find a way to keep from going brain dead from all the Sesame Street exposure I was getting.

I wanted to find a place to put my thoughts.

Paper was too old school. And, like a D-list celebrity, I am attention-seeking and desperate for an audience.

I started blogging in early 2009, just before my time in the working world ended, halfway through my pregnancy with my second son.

Yes. To those people, I apologize.

Color me bloggy search engine challenged, but I’ve never heard of Technorati. Excuse me while I google it.

One of my college journalism professors actually used a blog to post the class syllabus and homework assignments. It’s amazing that I actually decided to even start a blog after having to endure that as my introduction to the blogosphere.

I’ve found that it’s a lot cheaper than therapy.
