I blog for my own sanity, but also to share my experiences and advice. Many people do not understand autism, and many parents do not know what to do or expect once they have the diagnosis; my aim is to also help those people better understand this complex condition and what happens when your child has it.

I blog on a range of autism related issues. I like to focus on parenting and sharing experiences, but I also deal with current autism controversies (such as vaccinations).

Part of what I love about blogging, is the people I meet through the comments on my posts. I enjoy when they share their own experiences, and their own opinions. I see blogging as a chance to learn through reading other people’s repsonses too.

My childen inspire me – both of them. My eldest has autism, and he is an amazing person. My youngest doesn’t have autism, and he is pretty wonderful too!
Other parents of autistic children also inspire me. It’s a hard journey for all of us.

Blogging has had a huge influence on my attitudes towards autism. I have learnt so much through both writing and reading blogs – about therapies, controversies, truths, myths and how other people see autism differently than I do. It has been a huge learning curve.
