In 2006 I signed a writing contract with Waterbrook Press/Random House. I thought it would be fun to blog about it. Soon I began blogging about writing and being a mom. After blogging for a few years on a mom blog with my sister, I decided to start blogging more about my novel and the writing journey.
My novel is finally out. Ruby Among Us is set in the lush vineyards of present and past Sonoma Valley and weaves a story of three generations of women and the memory that binds their hearts together. It’s a story about faith and the redemptive power of mother-daughter love.

For about three years.

I blog about what it’s like to be a first time published author and I still like to blog about motherhood. It’s what comes first for all of us and it’s no different when you are a writer.

I would say have fun and include lots of links to other sites and communities, like 5 Minutes for Mom, so you can meet others bloggers, give them resources and so that your blog can get more exposure

Sure, I do. Please come visit. I would love to hear from you.

Yes. My family and friends do read my blog, but most of my blog readers are also writers and blogger moms I’ve met online.

My Author Blog at http://tinaannforkner.wordpress.com/
I try to blog about three - four times a week, depending on what book projects I’m working on.

About three - five hours per week. I try not to let blogging take over my writing time, but it is really a good way to connect with people. My blog is where readers come to get to know me.

I like Technorati the best.

I can’t remember for sure, but it might have been in an issue of Wired magazine. I worked at a technology company and it was what was always in the break room. I remember reading an article in there about how blogging would be the next great thing to happen to the internet.

5 Minutes for Mom?
Seriously, I’m not sure!

Many things. My family. Other writers. Prayer. My children. I really like to get outside and away from tv, etc. Gardening or just taking a quiet walk inspires me.

I sometimes blog in View From the Drive Thru at http://www.momsatwork.org
I also blog at Writer Interrupted on the fourth Tuesday of every month

Blogging has really broadened my world. I really have been encouraged by reading blogs by other moms and seeing what they go through. I’ve been encouraged by their faith, love for their children, and wonderful ideas. I’ve also learned tons from the resources and information that other people share about raising kids, working in or out of the house, cooking, writing, reading and on and on…
